DENVER — A possible explosive device was found in a room at the Ramada Inn near Interstate 25 and Interstate 70 on Monday morning, the Denver Police Department said.
Police sent the bomb squad to the hotel located at 4849 Bannock St. just after noon to investigate what was thought to be a grenade.
A housekeeper found the possible grenade in the room of a tenant who had been arrested for drug possession on March 24.
The housekeeper took the item to the front desk, then police were called.

The bomb squad was quick to clear the scene but found nothing suspicious about the item.
