NUNN, Colo. — A body was found in a burning vehicle on Highway 85 late Wednesday night, the Weld County Sheriff’s Office said.

The vehicle was on fire when sheriff and fire crews arrived at the scene at Highway 85 and Weld County Road 100 about 10:30 p.m.

Highway 85 was closed for about seven hours as crews investigated the cause of the fire and how the person inside it died.

The highway reopened about 6 a.m.
