GOLDEN, Colo. -- A nearly seven-hour standoff between a woman barricaded in a trailer home that she threatened to set fire to and law enforcement ended Thursday morning without incident.

A partial SWAT team was called out to help Golden police officers and Jefferson County sheriff's deputies with the standoff.

It started about 4 a.m. when police said they received a call from a man claiming that his common law wife was going to set fire to the home in the Golden Terrace Community just off C-470 and Colfax Avenue.

The man and two pre-teen children were able to get out of the home, but the woman stayed inside. Golden police spokeswoman Karlyn Tilley said the woman had not responded to officers.

Tilley said police were in the process of obtaining a warrant before going further. Just before 11 a.m., the woman was brought out of the home without conflict. Police said there has been an ongoing argument between the man and woman for the past few days.

Officials sent an automated emergency alert to residents in the area to notify them of the situation. No evacuations in the neighborhood were ordered.
