Aurora police seek suspect in connection with backyard shooting

AURORA, Colo. — Police in Aurora were seeking a vehicle Sunday evening in connection with a backyard shooting.

About 7:25 p.m., a male victim was hit by gunfire in the 900 block of Zion Street, according to the Aurora Police Department.

Police were looking for a Hispanic male suspect driving a gray Chevrolet Blazer. Officers contacted someone driving an SUV in the area, but determined that it was not the suspect. The alleged shooter is still at large.

The victim was hospitalized with serious injuries to the stomach.
