Aurora police investigating homicide

AURORA, Colo. — Police in Aurora are investigating a homicide after a body was found in an apartment Thursday night.

Police were called to the apartment complex on S. Archer Place and S. Peoria Street. and found the body of a man inside one of the apartments, said Sgt. Chris Amsler.

Detectives from the Major Crimes/Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene and have taken over the investigation. They are currently in the preliminary stages of the investigation interviewing witnesses and processing the crime scene, Amsler said.

The identify of the victim has not been released. Police have not yet said how he died.
