Aurora PD looking for witnesses in fatal crash that killed teen

AURORA, Colo. — Aurora investigators are asking for three people to come forward who were seek riding an RTD bus around the time an allegedly drunken driver ran a red light causing a crash that killed a teenager this week.

Aurora police said that investigators want to interview the potential witnesses to the crash, which happened at E. Colfax Avenue and Dayton Street on March 24.

The crash killed Juan Palomino, 17. Police believe Ever Olivos-Guiterrez, 40, an illegal immigrant who has never had a valid Colorado driver’s license, was driving at 80 mph when he braodsided the teen’s car.

Olivos-Guiterrez faces charges including first-degree murder, vehicular homicide, driving while a habitual DUI offender, driving under the influence and reckless driving, among others.

Aurora police said in a Facebook post that the three men they are looking for were coming and going from an RTD bus near the crash.

Those people are asked to call detectives at 303-739-6317 and report what they saw.
