DENVER — While Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was stealing away the Kansas City Chiefs’ dreams of a perfect season Sunday night, a pair of armed robbers were robbing one of Manning’s pizza joints.

About 7:30 p.m., two robbers with a handgun allegedly held up a Papa John’s pizza restaurant near the University of Denver, TMZ reported. The store is one of 21 Papa John’s locations that Manning owns.

The suspects, described as black men in their 20s wearing masks, escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The Denver Police Department said the men are also suspects in two other robberies, including one that occurred at Big Daddy’s Pizza, 4250 W. Colfax Ave., during Sunday night’s game.
