Amber Alert for 3-year-old boy missing in Colorado Springs canceled

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — An Amber Alert was issued Monday afternoon for a missing 3-year-old boy, the Colorado Springs Police Department said.

The alert was issued at 4:30 p.m., but by 9 p.m., police said the missing child, William Lake, and his wanted father, David Lake, had been found.

Police didn’t elaborate on the circumstances regarding the child’s abduction or how he and his father were located.

The boy was seen Monday morning wearing a black and white button up shirt gray pants, white shoes in southeast Colorado Springs.

Police did not elaborate on why the boy went missing or the circumstances related to finding him.
