Sixth-graders party with a purpose for Valentine’s Day

DENVER — Valentine’s Day is on a weekend this year, meaning many students have  handed out their cards and eaten their candy, but sixth-graders at one Douglas County school found a way to make the feeling last.

Reporter Kent Erdahl and photojournalist Chris Mosher show why students at Heritage Elementary School decided to throw a “Party with a Purpose” and what it will mean to families who can use some extra love.
