DENVER — Expect construction delays on Federal Boulevard for the next three months beginning Monday.

The Colorado Department of Transportation is kicking off a $2 million construction project in which crews will be putting in median islands with lighting and landscaping.

Crews also will be installing new pedestrian signals and traffic lights.

The construction will take place between West 52nd and West 67th avenues.

There will be single-lane closures in each direction on weekdays until the project is completed.
