AURORA, Colo. – An adult and two juveniles have been charged in a homicide investigation involving the shooting death of a 19-year-old man in a fast food restaurant parking lot.
Mike Chalfant was found dead on June 4 in a Taco Bell parking lot located at 3554 S. Tower Rd. in Aurora.
Police said they believe Chalfant was shot during an altercation with three other men, who fled the scene after the incident.
Calvin Ferae Banks, 18, Vincent Bertrand Rucker, 16, and Sterling Dillon Hook, 17, were arrested in connection to the case and now face first-degree murder charges, according to 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office spokeswoman Michelle Yi.
Banks and Rucker face seven total felony counts and Hook faces six, Yi added.
All three are being held without bond.
Their next court hearing is scheduled for Sept. 16 at 8:30 a.m. in an Arapahoe County court.
