LITTLETON, Colo. — Four suspects were in the process of robbing a Littleton coin store when Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies showed up and caught them in the act Thursday morning.

According to a sheriff’s office spokesperson, police received a call around 1:30 a.m. when a security alarm went off at World Of Coins at 7735 West Long Drive. Deputies responded and found four individuals loading up what turned out to be a stolen vehicle with stolen goods.

Two adults fled the scene on foot, and the two remaining teen suspects attempted to barricade themselves inside the store. All parties were eventually caught and taken into custody.

None of the suspects have been identified, but the two adults are being held in the Jefferson County jail, while the two teens are being held in the Mountain View Juvenile Center.

Police later discovered that the stolen vehicle involved in the crime may be connected to another burglary at the All American Coin and Jewelry, which is also located in Littleton.
