DENVER — Thinking about adding a furry friend to the family? A local rescue group is looking for foster families for more than a dozen puppies.

HomeComings Dog Rescue announced it has 17 puppies arriving this week and it needs foster families beginning Thursday night.

“We are in urgent need of foster families right now — especially PUPPY fosters! Puppies tend to get adopted quickly, but they need special fosters,” organizers said in a statement. “[Puppies] can’t be left alone all day (1 hour per month old is the suggestion from vets), so we need fosters where there is an adult at home most of the day.”

“We supply everything you need; crate, food, toys, etc. You just supply the love and enjoy puppy breath, snuggles and playtime for a short time!”

There is one other requirement — you must be able to bring the foster dog to and from adoption events every Saturday at a Lakewood Petsmart location (160 Wadsworth Blvd.).

Anyone interested in adopting should fill out a foster form and email it back.

“We need fosters beginning this Thursday night, December 1st for these ADORABLE puppies and adult dogs!” organizers said. “We are on Facebook — If you can’t foster, please share our need with your family and friends – thank you!”

HomeComings Dog Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit, PACFA certified rescue based in Denver.
