One person killed in 3-car crash in southwest Denver

DENVER — One person was killed in a three-car crash on Sunday, the Denver Police Department said.

It happened at South Federal Boulevard and West Kentucky Avenue.

An SUV that was turning left from Federal to Kentucky was hit by a vehicle going southbound on Federal, police spokesman Doug Schepman said.

Three other people also went to the hospital after the crash, police said. The names, ages and gender of those injured were not released, The extent of their injuries were not known.

“We are exploring possibility that speed and impairment may be factors,” Schepman said.

The intersection of Kentucky and Federal reopened about 5:40 p.m.

A GoFundMe account said the person who died was Shuvonne Luceros. The account was set up to help pay for funeral expenses.
