AURORA, Colo. – One person was killed and three others were seriously injured after a one-vehicle crash Thursday night.
The crash happened about 8 p.m. in the 13600 block of East Alameda Avenue. The Aurora Police Department said an Audi traveling east on Alameda lost control, went over a curb and struck a tree.
The female driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name and age were not released.
Three males in the car were taken to local hospitals with serious injuries. They are expected to survive.
“It does not appear the driver or rear passengers were wearing their seat belts,” Aurora police said in a news release. “Speed appears to be a factor in this crash. It is not known at this time if alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash.”
Alameda was closed for 3 1/2 hours as police investigated the accident.
