Taylor Brooks is a sports reporter at FOX31 & Channel 2.
She always wanted to be a sports broadcaster. The passion grew in her small town in Illinois where she interned at her local station, WQAD. From there she spent a year at St. Ambrose University before transferring to the University of Iowa. She was sports director her junior and senior year at Daily Iowan TV, covering the 2015 Rose Bowl as well as the Big Ten Championship and multiple Big Ten basketball tournaments.
Her adult career started in blustery Grand Forks, North Dakota where she covered UND sports and multiple high school sports. Most recently, Taylor was in Spokane, WA at KHQ and SWX where she explored sideline reporting and play by play. She also covered Gonzaga’s recent WCC championship in Las Vegas.
Taylor’s heart has always been with storytelling though as she wants athletes voices to be heard no matter what their story is.
