  • Man found dead in vehicle in Green Valley Ranch; DPD investigating as homicide

    DENVER – The Denver Police Department is investigating after a man was found dead in a vehicle in Green Valley Ranch. Shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday, DPD tweeted about a person found deceased in the 18600 block of Green Valley Ranch Boulevard. According to police, the victim “sustained trauma to the body.” DPD ruled the death a homicide. The Denver medical examiner will determine the man’s cause of death. DPD said there is no information on a suspect.

  • One dead following rollover crash in Weld County

    WELD COUNTY, Colo. — A woman died in a single-vehicle rollover crash Saturday morning on Interstate 76 near Roggen. The crash involved another adult and four children. The crash was in the westbound lanes near mile marker 51 in Weld County, near Painter Road. One party was flown to the hospital with unknown injuries, according to Colorado State Patrol. The extent of the injuries to others in the vehicle is currently unknown. I-76 traffic heading westbound was delayed.

    One teenage male is dead and three others are injured following a shooting early Sunday morning in Lakewood. Lakewood Police were called just after 4 a.m. Sunday to multiple shots fired reports at W Florida Ave and S Yarrow St.Authorities found two people with gun shot wounds at the scene.   • Final patient from STEM shooting released from the hospital

    Five days after the deadly school shooting  at STEM School Highlands Ranch, the last victim in the hospital was released. The patient was released from Littleton Adventist Hospital, according to a release. Littleton Adventist treated five patients from the shooting. Three were discharged May 7, and one was discharged May 10. There were nine total students wounded, including Kendrick Castillo, who died while trying to tackle one of the shooter.     A man is in custody after he was arrested outside his previous place of employment in Berthoud late Friday night. Rhett Williams, 35, was arrested on three misdemeanors and three felony charges, including reckless endangerment, criminal attempt second degree assault on a peace officer and criminal attempt first degree assault, according to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.
