Greg Perez is a meteorologist on the Pinpoint Weather Team. You can catch him on weekend mornings and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday on FOX31 and Channel 2!
Originally from New Jersey, Greg is thrilled to be actively covering weather in Colorado. He earned a B.S. in Meteorology from Virginia Tech in May of 2019 and started his career as a Chief Meteorologist in Great Falls, Montana at KFBB. While working in Montana, he was able to gain valuable experience in forecasting everything from heavy snowfall to tornadoes to warm, dry summer days.
His next step brought him to Spokane, Washington as a weekend meteorologist at KHQ Local News before returning to the East Coast as a weekday meteorologist for WPMT FOX43 serving south central Pennsylvania. There, he won a Pennsylvania Broadcasting Award for his wall-to-wall coverage on Hurricane Ida. Most recently, he was the weekend morning meteorologist at 9NEWS in Denver.
Greg is very close to his family and enjoys spending time with his three sisters and parents. He loves spending time outdoors, making Denver the perfect place for him to live! In his free time you can find him hiking, fishing, golfing and checking out the National Parks. He is also a big sports fan, and enjoys watching the New York Giants along with the New Jersey Devils, and of course the Virginia Tech Football team. If you see him around give him a “Go Hokies”!
