Carly Cassady is a meteorologist on the Pinpoint Weather team. You can watch her weekday mornings on Daybreak at 6 a.m., and the FOX31 Morning News at 8 a.m.
Carly is from Lenexa, Kansas, a suburb just outside of Kansas City. Growing up she experienced all sorts of weather but still hasn’t seen a tornado in person and hopes to go chasing some day.
She attended the University of Memphis in Tennessee for school and soccer, playing on the women’s team all four years and winning a conference championship. Carly has a B.S. in Geography with Meteorology concentration and minors in broadcast journalism and Spanish.
Her career started in Twin Falls, Idaho at KMVT as the weekend meteorologist and weekday reporter. She also continued her education online at Mississippi State in order to get the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal. Carly then spent over two years in College Station, Texas at KBTX. After that she moved to Winston-Salem, NC and was the weekend morning meteorologist at WXII. In February of 2019, Carly received her CBM seal (#816).
Carly has a dog named Molly. She is a Dalmatian adopted from the Dalmatian Rescue of Colorado in Fort Collins in 2015. Together, they love to go hiking and are excited to explore the trails in Colorado.
Carly is excited to be in Denver and to forecast for the changing conditions. She has family here and has been to Denver, Steamboat, Vail and surrounding areas for vacation and soccer before but is excited to now call it home.
