One injured in early-morning shooting in Capitol Hill

One person was injured in a shooting in the 900 block of East 10th Avenue in Denver on Sunday, March 24, 2019.

DENVER — One person was injured in an early-morning shooting in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, the Denver Police Department said Sunday.

The shooting happened just before 1 a.m. in the 900 block of East 10th Avenue, between Emerson and Ogden streets, police said.

One person was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound. The victim’s name, age and gender were not released.

Residents said there was a large party in the area when the shooting took place.

Police did not release any suspect information. The shooting remains under investigation.
