Storm brings heavy snow, cold to Colorado

DENVER — A strong winter storm is bringing heavy snow and cold to much of Colorado.

The Denver metro is expected to receive 4-8 inches of accumulation, with higher amounts possible. Some mountain areas could see more than 2 feet of snow.

A Pinpoint Weather Alert Day has been issued for Sunday because of anticipated travel impacts statewide.
