CRIPPLE CREEK, Colo. — Kelsey Berreth‘s 1-year-old daughter will temporarily remain with her maternal grandparents as prosecutors pursue a murder charge against the girl’s father for her mother’s death.

A judge continued the temporary custody arrangement during a closed hearing Thursday.

According to a court-provided summary, those involved in the custody case are waiting to review evidence in the criminal case against the girl’s father, 31-year-old Patrick Frazee.

The parties also agreed to delay a hearing on a motion filed by Frazee’s mother to intervene in the case.

The next hearing in the custody case is Feb. 7.

Frazee was charged Monday with murder and solicitation to commit murder in the death of the 29-year-old Berreth.

Berreth and Frazee were engaged. Berreth’s body hasn’t been found but police say they believe she is dead.
