Dog rescued from underneath Centennial house after being trapped nearly 30 hours

CENTENNIAL, Colo. -- A dog and her family have been reunited after the animal got stuck under the foundation of a home in Centennial.

Luna had been stuck for nearly 30 hours when firefighters from South Metro Fire Rescue were able to reach her and pull her out to safety on Tuesday.

The 8-year-old Jack Russell terrier disappeared about 7:30 a.m. Monday at the home near East Dry Creek Road and South Colorado Boulevard.

Rescue efforts started Monday and lasted until the dog was rescued Tuesday afternoon.
