Man injured in early-morning shooting in Aurora

AURORA, Colo. — A man was injured in an early-morning shooting on Monday, the Aurora Police Department said.

The shooting happened about 3:45 a.m. at East 11th Avenue and Dallas Street, near Lowry Park in west Aurora.

The man was taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds. His name and age were not released. The extent of the injuries was not released.

Police did not have a suspect in custody and did not release any description.

What led to the shooting is under investigation.
