Police investigate homicide in southwest Denver

DENVER — Police conducted a homicide investigation in southwest Denver on Monday morning.

Officers were called to the 3000 block of West Yale Avenue, near South Federal Boulevard about 5 a.m.

The Denver Police Department said two men were shot and that both were taken separately by private vehicles to a hospital where one was pronounced dead.

The name and age of the person who died were not released. Police did not release any suspect information.

Yale Avenue was closed between Green and Hazel courts for the investigation.
