DENVER -- We introduced you to a remarkable 17-year-old named Michael who is a talented cello player at the end of December.

Northglenn High School senior has affectionately been referred to as "that amazing cello player" by so many of you who emailed asking about him ... generous FOX31 viewers who wanted to find a way to help Michael collect money so he could pay to go to his dream college.

When Aristea Brady first introduced us to Michael, she said she would personally call the University of Texas at Austin, just to make sure the folks there who make decisions about admission saw Michael's story and had him on their radar.

What happened next, no one could've imagined.
