Denver police take 2 suspects into custody, roads reopen after search

DENVER — Police closed roads in the area of Buchtel Boulevard and South Emerson Street on Wednesday afternoon while they searched for what they said was a possible bank robbery suspect.

Officers established a perimeter and eventually took two men into custody at East Louisiana Avenue and South Ogden Street.

The Denver Police Department said the Sunflower Bank near East Third Avenue and University Boulevard in Cherry Creek was robbed Wednesday afternoon.

The perimeter was broken down and roads reopened just before 4 p.m.
