Water gushes through streets after water main breaks in northwest Denver

DENVER — A water main broke Wednesday night at West 29th Avenue and Zuni Street, the Denver Police Department said.

It happened around 7 p.m. Water gushed through the streets, which are lined by homes and businesses.

Repairs to the 24-inch pipe are expected to last until Thursday afternoon, Denver Water said. Nine customers are without water.

West 29th Avenue is closed between Zuni and Umatilla streets while repairs are made.
