ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. — The bomb squad was called in after a suspicious package was found Monday morning, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office said.

Officials said the package was found about 5:45 a.m. near Broadway and 70th Avenue.

Broadway was closed between 70th Avenue and U.S. 36 for the investigation and to determine if the bag is safe.

It reopened about 9:30 a.m. after it was determined the package was a duffel bag with clothing and a laptop inside.
