Man stabbed to death near State Capitol; suspect in custody

DENVER — A man was stabbed to death near the State Capitol late Thursday afternoon, the Denver Police Department said.

Police said it happened in the 1600 block of North Sherman Street about 5:30 p.m.

The male victim, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

One person was taken into custody. Their name, age and gender weren’t released.

Police did not say what led to the stabbing.
