35-year-old dies while skiing at Loveland Ski Area

CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, Colo. -- A man was killed while skiing at Loveland Ski Area on Friday morning, resort officials said.

The 35-year-old victim was involved in an incident near the bottom of lift 8 at 10:30 a.m. Friday, the resort said.

Officials said the skier was wearing a helmet.

Ski patrol responded immediately, but the skier was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

The resort has not said what led to the man's death. The incident is under investigation by the Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office.
