Tyler Richards, left, was arrested in connection to the death of Bradley Trager, whose body was found in a field in eastern Pueblo County.

PUEBLO, Colo. — A 23-year-old Pueblo man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of first-degree murder and other possible charges in the death of a 21-year-old man, the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office said.

Tyler Richards was arrested in connection to the death of Bradley Trager, the sheriff’s office said. Trager’s body was found late Tuesday night in a field on private property in eastern Pueblo County.

Richards is being held at the Pueblo County Jail. Besides the murder charge, he is also facing possible charges of aggravated robbery, kidnapping, aggravated robbery, menacing with a deadly weapon, assault and domestic violence.

Trager’s disappearance was reported Saturday night by his girlfriend, who was Richards’ former girlfriend, the sheriff’s office said.

The woman said Richards pointed a gun at Trager, handcuffed him and hit him in the head with a baseball bat. Richards then allegedly put Trager into a truck and drove away.

The sheriff’s office said Richards then returned and told the woman that Trager was dead.

The investigation is continuing, the sheriff’s office said.
