Greeley school bus involved in crash on Highway 34, no children on board

GREELEY, Colo. — No children were inside a Greeley School District school bus that was involved in a crash on Thursday night, the Greeley Police┬áDepartment said.

Officials said the crash happened in the 3600 block of Highway 34 in the eastbound lanes just before 5 p.m.

Police said the bus was stopped for traffic and started moving again when it was rear-ended by a sedan.

As of 6:15 p.m., officials were working on getting the male driver of the sedan out of the car.

The bus driver was not injured. The condition of the driver of the sedan is unknown.

Eastbound Highway 34 was closed at 47th Avenue as crews investigated the crash. Westbound traffic was not impacted.
