BOULDER, Colo. — A water main break forced the closure of a busy on-ramp on Thursday morning, the city of Boulder said.

Crews are working to repair the break on the westbound Baseline Road on-ramp to northbound 28th Street/U.S. 36.

The on-ramp is closed and it’s affecting access from westbound Baseline to the northbound 28th Street Frontage Road.

Alternate routes are advised and the closure is expected to cause traffic delays throughout the day. Detours have been put in place.

The pedestrian underpass under the on-ramp is also closed.

Repairs are expected to take until at least noon.
