DENVER — For more than 40 years, the Parade of Lights has marched bands, floats and holiday mascots around two miles of downtown streets.

Whether you’re looking to enjoy or avoid, the Downtown Denver Partnership is reminding residents of hours and routes.

The first night of the parade will be Friday with closures from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., and the staging area being closed from 5:30 p.m. to midnight.

On Saturday, the parade route will be closed from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., and the staging area will be closed from 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

No street parking (including dumpsters), loading, stopping or vehicle access on the parade route or in the staging area will be allowed.

The DDP also has a lineup of acts that will be part of the parade.
