DENVER -- Bruce Springsteen has been running since he hit the music scene in the 1970s.  He was certainly born to run, and that happens to be the title of his new memoir.

More than 1,000 fans who paid $32.50 for an autographed copy had the opportunity to have their picture taken with the 67-year-old singer-songwriter on Wednesday.

Like the five frisky friends who call themselves the Jersey girls. None of them has The Boss up close and personal. Not yet, that is.

Each fan was given approximately 10 seconds to embrace the E-Street band front man.

As the Jersey girls had their turn with Springsteen, Kathy, the most vocal and excited, went ahead and actually kissed Springsteen not once, but twice.

Talk about glory days.
