DENVER – The Broncos recognized the men and women of the U.S. military at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Sunday night.
It started before the game as players met with members of the military and signed autographs.
Servicemen and women of the Colorado National Guard got to run out of the tunnel with Broncos players during pregame introductions. One even got to lead the defense on the field with linebacker Von Miller.
Representatives from the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and Colorado National Guard were all present during the special halftime ceremony.
Fans inside the stadium showed their appreciation after the ceremony.
The NFL said for every point scored during the Salute to Service games, the league donates $1,000 to its three core nonprofit partners: USO, Pat Tillman Foundation and Wounded Warrior Project.AlertMe
