ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. — Investigators are asking for help in identifying the man who set another man on fire at a liquor store in Adams County earlier this month.

It happened about 10:15 p.m. Nov. 6 at Mapleton Discount Liquor (640 E. 58th Ave.), the Adams County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement released Thursday.

When deputies arrived, they found a man with significant injuries. The victim was transported to an area hospital and is in critical condition, the sheriff’s office said.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, about 5-foot-10 with a stocky build. The suspect was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt with a Cross Fit Reebok logo.

The only photo provided by investigators is dark and grainy.

Anyone who was in the area between 9 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. on Nov. 6 is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
