Woman stabbed during fight in Brighton

BRIGHTON, Colo. — A woman was stabbed during an altercation with another woman early Monday morning, the Brighton Police Department said.

Police were called to 94 S. Miller Ave. just after midnight on a report of a disturbance in progress.

As officers were responding, they were told one of the women involved in the fight had a knife and the woman had been stabbed.

The 36-year-old woman was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive. The extent of her injuries was not released.

Police said no charges have been filed. The names of the women have not been released, pending the outcome of the investigation.
