LOS ANGELES — Disney released the first official trailer of the new live-action “Beauty and the Beast” movie on Monday morning.

The film stars Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast, and Luke Evans as Gaston.

It also features some big names in smaller roles: Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza (the harpsichord), Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, and Emma Thompson as the teapot, Mrs. Potts.

Disney recreated “the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs,” according to its post on YouTube.

The score is by composer Alan Menken, who won two Academy Awards (Best Original Score and Best Song) for the 1991 animated film, according to Disney.

It opens in U.S. theaters March 17.
