DENVER — About 100 students from Strive Prep Excel walked out of classes and marched toward downtown Denver on Monday morning.

The students were marching in a peaceful demonstration down Speer Boulevard and were protesting the election of Donald Trump to the presidency.

“The people united will never be divided,” the students chanted.

The students were marching toward the State Capitol.

The students stayed on the sidewalk and the Denver Police Department was instituting a rolling closure in front of and behind the march.
