COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Two cats and a dog were rescued from an apartment fire in Colorado Springs on Wednesday.

The fire started on the third floor in the Antero Apartments at 1408 Sandalwood Drive, near South Academy and South Murray boulevards, the Colorado Springs Fire Department said.

The people living in the apartment got out safely, but the pets needed medical attention.

The fire department posted a video on Twitter showing crews giving oxygen to the animals.

It was an upsetting sight, but few minutes later, the fire department posted an update saying the animals were all improving.

The dog, Blue, was up and wagging her tail and one of the cats was getting lots of love in addition to the oxygen.
