Bicyclist seriously injured after being struck by vehicle in north Denver

A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle at Brighton Boulevard and 38th Street in Denver on Friday, Feb. 4, 2016.

DENVER — A bicyclist was hit by a vehicle in the RiNo district on Friday morning, the Denver Police Department said.

The crash happened at Brighton Boulevard and 38th Street before 9 a.m.

One person was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, police said. Police did not release the name, age and gender of the bicyclist.

The vehicle remained at the scene. The name, age and gender of the driver were not released.

Northbound Brighton Boulevard was closed as police investigated the crash.
