Man stabbed outside Brighton bar; suspect being sought

BRIGHTON, Colo. -- One person was stabbed outside a bar early Thursday morning, the Brighton Police Department said.

The stabbing happened outside Jerry's Bar & Grill at 130 N. Main St. about 1:15 a.m. after some type of disagreement, police said.

The victim  is in his 30s and was taken to a local hospital in stable condition suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen, police said. The victim is expected to survive.

Police said the suspect remains at large, but he was able to be identified by witnesses, police said. No description of the suspect was released by police.

Police said they do not believe the suspect presents a threat to the general public.
