ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Broncos cheerleaders are hoping to spread cheer to service members deployed overseas during the holidays.

This will be the 10th year in a row the cheerleaders have collected donations for the “Cheer for Troops” campaign.

You can drop off holiday gifts, hygiene items and nonperishable snacks at all Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers locations in Colorado in November. Items can also be dropped off at the team stores at UC Health Training Center and Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

The items requested most often by troops include: Broncos gear, prepaid phone cards, thick cotton/wool socks (calf high), posters of Colorado and twin flannel sheets.

The program is supported by Colorado Supporting Our Troops, which helps pack and distribute items to units most in need, organizers said.
