Boulder police release sketch of a man wanted in shooting

BOULDER, Colo. — The Boulder Police Department released a sketch on Monday of a suspect wanted in a shooting outside a bar early Sunday morning.

The shooting happened in the parking lot of Owsley’s Golden Road (1301 Broadway) about 1:30 a.m.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5-foot-9 and 150 pounds with short hair. He was wearing a black crew neck shirt and blue jeans at the time of the shooting.

Police are still working on a description of a second suspect who is alleged to have fired several shots during the altercation.

Police said the fight started in the bar and spilled out into the parking lot. One man was shot in the calf and was taken to Boulder Community Health to be treated.

Police said the man has been released from the hospital, and said he was a bystander and had no involvement in the fight.
