Suspect sought after man shot in leg at Boulder bar

BOULDER, Colo. -- A man was shot in the leg outside a bar on University Hill shortly before 1:30 a.m. Sunday, the Boulder Police Department said.

Police said two men got in a fight at Owsley’s Golden Road at 1301 Broadway.  The fight spilled out into the parking lot and one man fired several shots, police said.

One man was shot in the calf, but police said it's not clear whether he was the intended target.  He was taken to Boulder Community Health to be treated for nonlife-threatening injuries.

The victim is not a University of Colorado student and neither is the suspect, police said.

Police said the suspect is a black male, 5-foot-9 and 150 pounds with short hair. He was wearing a black crew neck shirt and blue jeans, police said.
