CLEVELAND — A student at Ohio University appeared to be in trouble after skipping class Tuesday.

Charles Turner posted an email exchange with his professor, R. Damian Nance, on Twitter.

According the exchange, Nance emailed Turner to say his name was not on the attendance tracker for being in class. Attendance was taken at the end of class.

“Can you explain this or should I take it as deceit, for which I have zero tolerance?” the professor wrote.

Turner emailed Nance back and fessed up to say he was at class at the beginning and gave his homework to a fellow student.

He then left because his father got tickets to Game 1 of the World Series between the Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs. He then attached a picture of him and his brother at the game.

Nance had a great response.

“Charlie. That looks like an impeccable excuse. No repercussions. Go Tribe!”

Nice job, professor.
