ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Broncos rookie Paxton Lynch will get his first NFL career start on Sunday when the Denver Broncos take on the Atlanta Falcons on FOX31 on Sunday.

Sources tell NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport that Trevor Siemian’s shoulder isn’t quite ready yet.

ESPN’s Jeff Legwold reports that sources say Siemian won’t be active for the game, making Austin Davis the backup QB.

Siemian suffered an injury to his left non-throwing shoulder last Sunday in the Broncos’ 27-7 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Lynch led the offense to two field goals and a touchdown against Tampa Bay when he replaced Siemian in the game.

The Broncos are currently 4-0 and hope that the rookie QB and star defense can keep the undefeated season going.

The Broncos play the Falcons Sunday at 2:00 p.m. on FOX31 with a pre-game show starting at 1:00 p.m.
