One dead, one injured in crash near Brighton

BRIGHTON, Colo. – One person has died and another has been airlifted to an area hospital following an accident on Friday morning, Brighton Fire Rescue said.

The crash happened at the intersection of Weld County Road 27 and Weld County Road 6 (East Crown Prince Boulevard), north of Brighton.

Officials say the car involved “went under the truck and firefighters had to extricate two people from inside the car.”

Officials remain on scene for investigation and cleanup.
